Volunteer

“Volunteering has given me an appreciation that a dementia diagnosis doesn't mean someone doesn't still have a huge amount of potential and things to offer to the world”

Volunteers are an integral part of Bright Shadow's success.

We welcome new volunteers who are keen to join our vibrant team, providing dementia-positive activities. You don't need to have experience of supporting people living with dementia or of the arts, as support and training will be provided. Having fun is at the centre of what we do!

There are many different ways to volunteer with Bright Shadow including:

Weekly 2 hour creative Zest sessions in 4-6 week blocks, driving participants to sessions, one off events, fundraising days, or administrative or communications support in our office.

We will support you to flourish and make the most of your experience with us!

“I've learned and gained so much, both professionally and personally. It has taught me about the community I live in, and made me feel involved in making it a warmer and more inclusive place to live. I've benefited from working with many different people, from vastly different backgrounds.”
